Elk Grove raised my family.
Public service shaped my career.
I'm a first-generation college graduate, a proud Elk Grove resident for more than 30 years, and the parent of three EGUSD graduates.
For decades, I've dedicated my life to expanding opportunity for children, supporting educators, and building partnerships that strengthen communities.
Today, I serve as Northern California External Affairs Officer for the California State Treasurer's Office, bringing together educators, families, employers, nonprofits, and community leaders to help California students succeed.
Now, I'm bringing that experience home.
Now I'm ready to help safeguard the excellence of Elk Grove Unified and prepare every student for the future.
"I've seen firsthand Rachell's commitment to students, families, and public service. She brings the experience to build partnerships, solve problems, and deliver results. Elk Grove Unified will benefit from her integrity, thoughtful leadership, and dedication to every student's success."

Why I’m Running
Elk Grove is a community that believes in its schools, and I believe we have a responsibility to preserve that excellence while preparing every student for the future.
Throughout my career, I've worked to expand opportunity for children and support the educators who help them succeed. I helped build the foundation for what became California's CalKIDS program, and later, at CalSTRS, I worked alongside California's teachers during one of the most challenging periods in public education.
Those experiences reinforced what I've always believed: strong schools are built through thoughtful leadership, strong partnerships, and a steadfast focus on students.
Because every student deserves not just an education, but a pathway to opportunity.
