RACHELL REINWALD FOR ELK GROVE UNIFIED SCHOOL BOARD Trustee Area 5

  • Elk Grove raised my family.

  • Public service became my life’s work.

  • I’m ready to help preserve the excellence of Elk Grove Unified.

  • And prepare every student for a lifetime of opportunity.

Meet Rachell

I’m a first-generation college graduate, a proud Elk Grove resident for more than 30 years, and the parent of three EGUSD graduates.

My career has been dedicated to expanding opportunity for children, supporting educators, and building partnerships that strengthen communities.

Today, I serve as an External Affairs Officer for the California State Treasurer’s Office. I work alongside educators, families, employers, nonprofits, and community leaders to help expand opportunity for California students.

Now I would like the opportunity to bring that experience home to serve our community

Experience that Matters

Building Opportunity

I helped build the foundation for what became California’s CalKIDS program, helping over 2 million students prepare for college, career training, and their futures.

Supporting Educators

At CalSTRS, I worked alongside California’s educators during one of the most challenging periods in public education, helping them navigate important decisions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Building Partnerships

Today, I work with educators, families, employers, nonprofits, and community leaders across Northern California to expand opportunity and strengthen communities.

I’ve seen firsthand Rachell’s ability to bring people together, build partnerships, and deliver results. She brings the experience, integrity, and commitment needed to help keep Elk Grove Unified one of California’s strongest school districts.

Why I'm Running

Elk Grove is a community that believes in its schools. I believe we have a responsibility to preserve that excellence while preparing every student for the future.

Throughout my life and career, I have worked to expand opportunity for children, support educators, and build partnerships that strengthen communities. Those experiences have reinforced what I have always believed: strong schools are built through thoughtful leadership, strong partnerships, and a steady focus on students.

Because every student deserves not just an education, but a pathway to opportunity.
